Pressure vessel FAQ

TECHNICALQUESTIONS.

  • What is a pressure vessel?

A pressure vessel is a sealed container that holds a liquid under pressure so it can be delivered in a controlled way. SR-TEK builds them in stainless steel, clear acrylic and toughened glass, from 0.5 to 60 litres, for pressurised fluid dispensing and process applications.

  • How does a pressure vessel work?

Compressed air is applied above the liquid inside the sealed vessel. The pressure pushes the liquid out through the outlet at a steady, controllable rate, so dispensing stays consistent without a pump. Gauges, regulators and safety components fit to the vessel's ports.

  • What is the difference between ST, CT and LT series pressure vessels?

ST Series vessels are stainless steel and suit durable, long-term industrial use. CT Series vessels are clear or transparent, so you can see the fluid level and the process itself — ideal for dispensing, monitoring and lab setups. LT Series vessels are built for larger volumes and production support, including food, medical and pharmaceutical environments.

  • Which outlet and port configurations can a pressure vessel have?

Most SR-TEK vessels can be configured with a top outlet or a bottom outlet, plus multiple ports for inlet, outlet, gauge and safety components. They accept common fittings and dispensing accessories, including valves, gauges, regulators and quick connections.
