This privacy notice explains how SR-TEK Limited (“we”, “us”, “our” or “SR-TEK”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you contact us, request a quotation, place an order, or otherwise deal with us in the course of business.

2. The personal data we collect

Because we deal with business customers, the personal data we handle is usually limited to business contact information. Depending on your dealings with us, we may collect:

Name and job title
Business email address and business telephone number
Business name, address, and the nature of your enquiry or order
Correspondence and records of communications between us
Order, quotation, invoicing, and payment-related information
Technical information you provide in connection with an enquiry or order

We collect this data directly from you, through our website contact and enquiry forms, and through direct email and telephone contact with you in the course of business.

3. How we use your personal data and our legal bases

We use your personal data for the following purposes. Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use; the relevant basis is shown alongside each purpose.

Responding to your enquiries and providing quotations — necessary for our legitimate interests in responding to potential and existing customers, and/or to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
Processing, fulfilling, and administering orders — necessary for the performance of a contract with you (or with the business you represent), and our legitimate interests in managing customer relationships.
Invoicing, payment, and credit control — necessary for performance of a contract and for our legitimate interests in being paid and managing credit risk.
Providing warranty, after-sales, and technical support — performance of a contract and our legitimate interests in supporting customers.
Meeting legal, regulatory, accounting, and record-keeping obligations — necessary for compliance with our legal obligations.
Improving our website and understanding how it is used — our legitimate interests, supported by your consent to non-essential cookies where required (see section 7).

4. Marketing communications

Where permitted by law, we may contact you about products, services, business marketing communications and offers that may be relevant to your business. You can ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time by contacting us using the details in section 1, or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

5. Who we share your personal data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

Service providers, who process data on our behalf, such as IT, cloud hosting, email, and software providers (for example, standard business cloud tools), under appropriate contractual safeguards.
Couriers, carriers, and logistics providers, where needed to fulfil and deliver an order.
Professional advisers such as accountants, auditors, and lawyers.
Payment processors and banks, to process payments.
Regulators, authorities, or other third parties where required by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom. Some of the standard cloud-based tools we use to run our business (for example, email and document services) may involve personal data being stored or processed outside the UK by our providers.

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on our providers’ safeguards to ensure it receives an equivalent level of protection — for example, transfers to countries the UK Government recognises as providing adequate protection, or transfers made under approved contractual safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep your personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, warranty, or reporting requirements.

Enquiry and quotation data where no order results: 10 years
Customer and order records: duration of the relationship plus 8 years
Accounting and tax records: retained for the period required by law, where applicable, for longer where reasonably necessary for warranty, regulatory, contractual, or legal purposes (currently 9 years plus the current year).

9. Your rights

Under data protection law you have rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances
Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing
Request the transfer of your data in certain circumstances
Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. Rights are not absolute and may not apply in every case.

10. Your rights to complaint

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to make a data protection complaint to us. You can raise a complaint at any time by emailing info@sr-tek.com, or by writing to us at the address in section 1, marked for the attention of the person responsible for data protection. You do not need to use any special wording.

When we receive a complaint, we will acknowledge it within 30 days. We will then look into it, take appropriate steps to respond without undue delay, keep you informed of progress, and tell you the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator. We would ask you to raise your concern with us first so we have the opportunity to put things right, but you are not required to do so. 11. Changes to this notice
