Solving the Ceramic Paste Challenge: A Custom Vessel Designed for Performance and Precision

At SR-TEK, we thrive on challenges. While we offer a wide range of high-quality, standard
pressure vessels in stainless steel and see-through materials such as glass and polycarbonate,
our true specialty lies in creating bespoke solutions tailored to our clients’ exact process needs.
Our latest custom project, designed and delivered together with AD2P SD, is a testament to this
capability.
The core challenge in this case was a pasty material with a very short shelf life.
AD2P SD approached SR-TEK with a specific and complex issue, raised by their customer: a
ceramic paste used during production would begin to settle and become unusable within just 5
to 8 hours—leading to significant material waste, process inefficiencies, and increased costs.
The solution required a pressure mixing container that could accept 32Oz cartridges, and could
both maintain a stable elevated temperature to keep the paste workable, and agitate the
contents to prevent settling—without disrupting the delicate consistency of the material.
This wasn’t a standard application—but it’s exactly the kind of brief we’re built to deliver on.
Working closely with AD2P SD and their end user, we engineered and built a heated and agitated
cartridge holder tailored to the process. Every detail was considered: material compatibility,
temperature control, stirring dynamics, and user access. We designed not just for performance,
but for reliability, ease of use, and long-term process efficiency.
At SR-TEK, we aim to optimise performance while also reducing waste—something that remains
a key value across all our projects.
With the custom vessel in place, the customer was able to significantly extend the active life of
their ceramic paste, reducing downtime and product waste while improving consistency and
throughput. It’s a clear example of how precise engineering and tailored design can make a real
difference to production performance.

A Core SR-TEK Value: Listening First, Designing Second
What made this project successful wasn’t just our engineering expertise—it was our approach.
At SR-TEK, we begin every bespoke project by asking the right questions. We don’t just want to
know what you need—we aim to understand why. Only then can we deliver a vessel that truly
works for you—not just one that looks good on paper.
Whether you’re facing a challenging material, a specific heating requirement, or simply need
better control over your process, SR-TEK is here to help. Off-the-shelf or custom-engineered, we
deliver vessels with purpose.
