Engineering Challenge

Our customer needed a vessel that could safely store and test fuels and oils under pressure without risk of contamination or inconsistency. The system had to be:

• Lightweight for ease of handling and mobility across test environments
• Durable and corrosion-resistant, suitable for long-term use with hydrocarbon-based fluids
• Adaptable, allowing integration of custom fittings, dip tubes, and gauges

Additionally, the vessels had to offer traceability, cleanability, and pressure reliability, making them suitable for both laboratory and small-scale production use.

Solution

SR-TEK supplied LT Series Stainless Steel Pressure Vessels, built from 304 and 316-grade stainless steel for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
These vessels — available in capacities from 3.8L to 37.8L — provided:

• Lightweight construction, simplifying daily handling and mobility
• Customisable fittings including air agitators, dip tubes, and gauges for flexible configuration
• Certifications to ASME Section VIII-01, Div. 1 and PED Module A, Category I, ensuring safe operation with Group 1 and 2 liquids and gases
• High-quality finishes, with internal and external white pickled surfaces for cleanliness and traceability
• Oval pressure closure with EPDM O-ring, ensuring a tight, secure seal

This configuration offered our customer a complete, compliant, and efficient solution for fuel and oil testing in a controlled pressurised environment.
